Erika Harding
I’ve had the incredible privilege of doing so many interesting things in my life thus far, including:
Attending the United World College of the American West in Las Vegas, New Mexico, where I finished high school and earned an International Baccalaureate alongside students from more than 70 other countries.
Attending Barnard College in NYC, where I experienced life in a big city for the very first time.
Getting a Master’s Degree in Latin American Studies from UNM.
Working my very first job in Mexico City as the representative for the University of New Mexico, coordinating exchanges and collaborative programs.
Researching and writing for the Latin American Data Base, focused on political, economic, and human rights issues.
Teaching Bilingual Social Studies and Drama at John Adams Middle School
Staying home with my kids in their early months.
Creating and running a successful birthing and parenting resource center, which continues to thrive long after I sold it.
Working as a doula (birthing support person) and lovingly attending nearly 300 births (and a few life endings as well).
Working at the ECHO Institute as a program manager and trainer for the Diabetes and Cardiovascular Risk Reduction ECHO clinic, which enabled me to spend time in community health clinics across New Mexico.
Serving as the first-ever Director of Global Replication Initiatives and Chief Replication Officer at the ECHO Institute, the “mothership” and central office of the Project ECHO program and movement.
Building my own business as the founder and Director of Amplify Consulting & Communication Solutions, allowing me to go more deeply into the work with clients who want to amplify their positive impact on their communities and the world.
Providing training and support to organizations and universities from all over the world who want to share their knowledge and expand access to health care through the use of ECHO, including providing training in Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Uruguay, Brazil, Ethiopia, India, South Africa, Sri Lanka and elsewhere.
Training with Emerge New Mexico as a progressive future candidate for office in our beautiful state.
Mediation Training and certification, followed by volunteering at Albuquerque’s Metro Court dispute resolution and Magistrate court systems across New Mexico.
Launching my new mosaic making and teaching business. If you’re interested in learning about mosaic (I specialize in glass-on-glass tables, sculptures and classes), please come visit my new website.
I love to hike, bike, swim, travel, make mosaic art, cook, drink wine, sit on my porch, entertain and laugh a lot. I also enjoy walking my dogs and spending time with my husband and two college-age daughters.
